Meditation for Gemini…
Posted by: | CommentsMost of my friends know I have my share (plenty) of Gemini’s in my life. Come to find out, Yehuda Berg of the Kabbalah Centre is also a Gemini. Damnit! HA!
Anyway, since we’re coming upon the birthdates of these lovely creatures, I received my Gemini Newsletter from the Kabbalah Centre this morning.
Gemini. I know a thing or two about this sign, seeing as how I am one.
Out of all the worthy facts I can share with you about this sign of the Zodiac, I find this one best explains its nature: 84 days. That’s how long it takes Mercury (Gemini’s controlling planet) to revolve around the Sun. That’s approximately a quarter of the time it takes Earth to do the same.
Point is, we’re moving fast and we like it. That can be a blessing, or it can be a curse. The downside is we run the risk of skimming over life’s surface, moving from relationship to relationship, idea to idea, project to project, never sticking around long enough in any one spot to probe the depths. Many a Gemini have been called jack of all trades, master of none.
But the upside is we are wide open to change. And in spirituality, versatility is the name of the game. We could all use a dose of Gemini flow right now, with its ability to stimulate our desire for growth and movement.
Keep this in mind: All that is fixed within us can be changed this month.
If your problem is laziness, try to get up at 5 a.m. for a month. During the workday, go against your natural tendency to surf the net. Initiate a project instead. If you’re nature is to ignore people, stop and listen to what every single person has to say, whether it’s the clerk at the bank or the waiter at the restaurant.
And say hello to Jakob again!

Piloxing…
Posted by: | CommentsYep, Piloxing. Ever hear of it?
I’m not a big magazine person, but I’ll pick up a copy of OK Magazine every now and again, just to get my fix of visuals from Fantasy Land, a.k.a.,Hollywood. I took my new issue to bed with me last night and I was reading a one-page profile on Ms. Hilary Duff. She owes her “svelt figure” to Piloxing in Burbank, California. You know, I would love to take trips to these studio’s just to see what they’re really offering and write reviews on it. I’m also going to visit Fit in Ohio City next Thursday. I want to see what all the rage is behind the Boot Camp they offer at the Studio. I know the owner and he is in amazing shape, it’s always a good sign when the PT has a body to die for.
But this whole Piloxing routine is quite humorous. I wonder what Joseph Pilates would have to say about this. I’ll tell you one thing, it really pushes me to find my own studio space here soon.
One Kiss..
Posted by: | CommentsIf you’ve ever been to a baseball game, you know what type of audience it draws. I’ve seen it first hand; beer, hot dogs, couples kissing, etc.., but make sure you’re not in Seattle and you decide to kiss your partner at a Mariner’s game. And another interesting fact is the Washington State Legislature is the second largest gay caucus in the country.
I normally don’t cover news in my blog, but there are stories that need to be covered.
Here’s an excerpt from the story:
Sirbrina Guerrero says she only gave her date a peck, but a mother sitting with her son complained to security and, as a result, they were told to stop or leave.
“And he (the guest services agent) goes ‘there’s a lady whose son says he saw you guys making out, and I did, too. And you have to stop.’ And I said ‘well, we weren’t making out, but we were kissing and I’m not going to stop,’” said Guerrero.
Guerrero says the only reason she was called out was because of her sexual orientation.
“(The guest services agent said) the mom doesn’t want to explain to the kids why two girls are kissing. So I said ‘well, I’m not going to stop, so you’ll have to kick me out. So he said ‘so I suggest you leave then,”‘ she said.
Maybe the mother could have said; they love each other honey, that’s all there is to know. Read more.
