The Smell of Home….

Posted by: xian | Comments (1)

It’s so nice to walk in your house after being away for a few days. The first thing I always notice is the smell. It’s not easy to describe, but every house has its scent. It can be from the fragrance you wear to the cleaning supplies you use, but every house has one. And if you have animals, you know how nice it is when you first walk through the door and they greet you.

I owe a lot to my dog-sitter and BF, Susan. Put it this way, imagine going to bed with 2 dogs (one being a puppy) the other being the big brother, and the Queen of the manor, Claudia. But I’m so proud of Isaak. He’s been such a good example for Ian. It will be a year on August 11, when I picked him up from the Rescue, and he’s come such a long way.

It was so nice to sit in the hotel room and work in complete silence; no TV or music. You could hear a pin drop. I’ve always loved staying in hotels – - it gives you some time to catch up without the many distractions we face at the office and home. It was also nice to hear the Executives and Publisher at the Sales meeting, say we should act as Consultants with our clients, asking them the important questions; what is your objective, what message are you trying to get across as a company (your voice)? I think we all should ask ourselves this question, regardless of our careers. I’m planning on making monthly trips to Chicago, to catch up with the staff. They’re such good people, and it’s always nice to make new friends out of town.

So, I’m heading back to the Cleveland office today around 9 and catch up on the Cleveland side of the business. But this trip gave me a nice heaping dose of motivation/inspiration, and nobody will take that away from me. ;-) **PS: Congrats, incYourself.net, on your 2000+ page views!!!**

New Faces and Red String…

Posted by: xian | Comments (0)

What a great trip!

It’s always nice to meet new people and match the faces with the names. I was at dinner with the Publisher and sales staff last night, and one of the reps asked me how long I’ve been studying Kabbalah. My first thought was, how does he know? Well, I sometimes forget I don the red string, and then he pulled his broken red string from his wallet ( you let the string fall off naturally.) He and his wife went to Israel last year and visited Rachel’s tomb; where they tie the red string around and say a blessing. I want to plan a trip to Israel myself – I’m hoping to go in the Spring next year.

He’s a biker dude, and he has such a wonderful sense of humor! The whole Chicago group has a positivity about them that I so need these days. The Cleveland office tends to bitch and moan a little too much. They are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for their sites. The presentation went well and they had a million questions. I ended the all day sales meeting today with a conference call with Epson Printers. They signed off on a $100,000+ contract – - sweet!

Wisconsin is so beautiful, and my room overlooks the mountains and Lake Geneva. Penton set me up! OK, off to the Publishers boat for a go around. See y’all soon! ;-)

Long ago, the ancient Kabbalists revealed a powerful technology of protection. Its purpose is twofold: to protect us from the envious looks of others, and to help us eliminate feelings of jealousy and resentment in ourselves. The technology is the Red String: a strand of red wool worn around the left wrist. This technology is an indispensable tool for spiritual and physical protection.

The teachings of Kabbalah do not include prohibitions or commandments. Instead, the Kabbalists speak of positive and negative energies. The negative energies of jealousy and envy emanate through the eyes—which gave rise to the very vivid and very ancient term, the Evil Eye.

Nothing Fails…

Posted by: xian | Comments (0)

Well, I leave for Wisconsin in a few hours, and it comes at an ideal time. The weekend brought forth another challenge; this one on a level I’m not very familiar with. I had some dealings with it from my brother David, but I’m older now, and I’m ready to make a sacrifice (what it is I’m sacrificing is yet to be determined.) I’ve always been one to follow my intuition/The Light, and it’s telling me to hold on – - tight. So this weekend I’m putting a “you intervention” together. To take my heart to a place it’s never been. To listen. To give what I can without losing myself.

I’m not religious,
but I feel so moved.
Makes me want to pray,
pray you’ll always be here.

When I get lost in space
I can return to this place
Cause, you’re the one

Where’s the Action??

Posted by: xian | Comments (0)

The only way – THE ONLY WAY – to reverse the tides of negativity is to realize that those seemingly insignificant actions we do – or don’t do – is what matters most.Individual human behavior is what got us into this mess, individual human behavior is what will get us out.

I challenge every reader to really check-in this week. There’s no more time to hide behind just talking. We have each got to own up to the fact that most of the time we operate from a selfish desire. Only when we admit this and fight the enemy within, will the enemies without cease to exist.

If you remember only one thing from this thought piece, let it be this:

Your every action counts.
