Sky People
Posted by: | CommentsGood morning, friends! I went on my blind date last night and I’m happy to report it went really well! It was such a great night. We ended up seeing Avatar instead of Nine. O-M-G, what an amazing film! James Cameron’s (writer and director) hiatus was well worth it! There’s a great history behind the film. He wrote the script in 1994 and filming was slated to begin after Titanic was released, but James wanted to give technology a chance to catch up. Perfect timing, because seeing the movie in 3D was incredible! I can’t wait to see it again. One of my favorite quotes from the film: “All energy is only borrowed… And one day you have to give it back.” Perfect! Of course we have the sky people (the humans) who wanted a piece of moon rock on Pandora, home to the Avatars, that was worth some serious cash. It always comes down to money and power, doesn’t it? If you haven’t seen the film yet, go see it!
Let’s get back to my date. We had a great dinner before the movie, the chef made it himself! I love hanging with people with connections. I had the hanger steak, it was so good! I think what made the date so relaxed was it was with three other people. After the movie we went to his condo for a cocktail, he has such a gorgeous view of the city. He invited me to his place for New Years day dinner. I took the invitation as a sign that he also felt the date went well. He does look a lot like Anthony Bourdain, but I think he’s better lookin’, no offense Mr. Bourdain. He’s the tall, dark and handsome type. I felt comfortable spending time with him, which is always the best sign of all.
That’s the wrap up, kids. We’ll see what the next date is like. XOs….
