loved…
ByThe tats are in place and we love them! Â I forgot how painful it is in the beginning – more of an annoying irritation – Â but once the artist finds his groove the pain subsides. And I love the rush you get after it’s done. * Note: If you’re thinking about getting your first tattoo just remember; it’s addicting. * I have four now but each has a story. The Hebrew letters (for Prosperity) on my back was on my 30th birthday, the OM symbol on my right forearm was done with three of my friends (we all got the same one..H, you are a part of OM =)), the Scorpion tat on my right calf was done after I moved away from home, and now this Loved ink commemorates the reunion with my best friend of 17 years. Â This new tattoo got me thinking about what it really means to be loved. A love beyond labels. There’s a relationship that provides this kind of love: our friendships. The friendships we’ve built over time. The people you can reach out to when you lose your place. The listener. When you would do anything in your power to help each other out. Â God, I don’t even think I would be sitting here today if it weren’t for my friends. They really saw me through the darkest moments of my life. They are the strongest support systems. An extended family. I am so blessed to have such an amazing and incredibly talented group of friends. So thank you, each and every one of you. YOU are loved.
OK, time to sit on the deck outside En’s apartment. It’s nice and rainy on the Cape this morning – perfect coffee time. We’re heading to Provincetown later this morning. I can’t wait to visit the galleries and antique shops. AND..a big bowl of lobster bisque. I did have myself a bowl of clam chowder last night…WOW…and I’m not even a fan. Loving it here. Njoy your Saturday, friends!

OI VEY!!!! I’ve considered getting a tattoo or two, but UGH!!! I’m allergic to pain! I break out into yells and screams!!!
Phillip – a little pain never hurt anyone.
It’s not that bad and it’s totally worth it!
[...] received some bad news yesterday morning. Adrienne, my very best friend that lives in the Cape (I talk about her often) broke her leg! I was able to speak with her for a few minutes yesterday morning, but she’s [...]
